A memorandum of understanding was signed on December 17, 2015 by the Department of Justice and Department of Labor to better coordinate and effect criminal prosecutions of health and safety violations pertaining to the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), the Mine Safety and Health Act (Mine Act), and the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (Migrant Worker Act).

As a result, employers and management employees can expect more frequent and vigorous criminal prosecutions of OSHA, Mine Act, and Migrant Worker Act violations.  See the article here.
