The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) recently released the federal sector edition of its Digest of Equal Employment Opportunity Law (Fiscal Year 2017, Volume 4), also available on the EEOC’s website.  This edition features an in-depth article on the legal prohibitions on race discrimination titled “Race Discrimination in the 21 st Century Workplace.”

As quoted by JD Supra, Carlton M. Hadden, Director of EEOC’s Office of Federal Operations stated “unlawful race discrimination is one of the most frequently raised bases in EEO complaints.” Hadden confirmed the article provides timely and accurate racial workplace discrimination information.

The Office of Federal Operations’ quarterly EEO Digest includes a wide survey of Commission outcomes and federal court cases of interest.  Included with the decisions are hyperlinks and summaries of those decisions.  Commission federal sector decisions are also found on the EEOC website.
